Dr. Matthew J. Cummings DDS

Dr. Matt attended Rockhurst High School and received a football scholarship to Missouri Valley College. He played football there for 2 and half years and then transferred to University of Missouri-Kansas City to complete his undergraduate degree. He knew that he always wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps so he applied to and was accepted into his dad's alma mater, the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry.

During dental school he met his future wife, Tabitha. Upon completion of dental school, Tabitha was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. They moved to Chicago, Il where Tabitha was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Health Center. Dr. Matt worked as an independent contract dentist for the US Navy and had the privilege of working on all enlisted recruits. Tabitha's next port assignment brought them to Seattle, WA; where Dr. Matt worked for a community health center for two years and was focused on pediatric dentistry. His final year in the Pacific Northwest he worked for a private practice in downtown Seattle where he was able to utilize all the new innovative equipment that has infiltrated the field of Dentistry.

Dr. Matt's strongest beliefs for successful dental treatment come from honesty and trust. The most important part of Dr. Matt's treatment plans is considering his patients concerns and comfortability. Dr. Matt's mentality is all of his patients deserve the utmost care and longevity in all their provided treatment. When not practicing dentistry Dr. Matt's favorite activities are spending time with his wife and laughing at their sons 10 year old, Sam, and 6 year old, Brody, who think they are so funny. He loves the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, enjoys running, snow and water skiing, and prides himself as a movie and music buff. Dr. Matt believes family and friends are the most important thing in life and believes every patient should have the opportunity of a pleasant dental visit.
